Summary:
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technical initiatives and drive innovation in our rapidly evolving landscape. The CTO will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy and architecting scalable solutions that deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Technology Strategy & Innovation: Collaborate with executive leadership and technology team to define and execute the company’s technology roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the retail supplier financial services sector. Anticipate market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and leverage emerging technologies to drive strategic growth initiatives.
  • Product Development and Enhancement: Direct the development and enhancement of our tech-driven financial products and services, working closely with our Product Management team to transform customer feedback into actionable technology. Ensure that our offerings are user-centric, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Architecture and Infrastructure: Strategically oversee the development and orchestration of robust technical architecture and infrastructure. Ensure that the platform is scalable, reliable, and secure, meeting the dynamic needs of our business. Your role will involve guiding the technical team in implementing best practices and innovative solutions to support the growth and stability of our platform.
  • Team Leadership and Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and continuous learning. Work with the People & Culture team to recruit top talent, provide coaching, professional development opportunities, and empower team members to take ownership of their projects and deliverables.
  • Partnerships and Integration: Cultivate strategic partnerships to expand our ecosystem, access new vendors, and enhance our product offerings. Collaborate with external partners to integrate technologies that enhance our platform’s value proposition and market competitiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Analytics, Client Experience, Operations, and Finance to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Encourage open communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared goals.
Requirements:
  • Our engineering team is very high performing and self-motivated - you should be too.
  • Leader with experience in small to medium, high-growth, technology-driven service organization
  • 15+ years of experience leading and managing technology teams. An advanced degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional people leader and communicator who is passionate about building and developing high-performing teams.
  • A leader who is willing to roll-up their sleeves to dig into problems and create scalable solutions alongside your team.
  • Strong technical experience in a wide array of languages & technologies including but not limited to .NET, Azure, Vue.js, and Kubernetes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in managing remote teams: Proven ability to effectively lead and engage distributed teams, ensuring high performance and strong communication across geographical boundaries.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of balancing short-term deliverables with long-term vision and innovation.
  • Individual that embodies and reflects the company culture and values in both thought and practice: Strategic, Nimble, Inquisitive, Proactive, Empathetic, Straightforward.
