Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact initiatives for one of our clients. This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder management, particularly with senior leadership, and a proven ability to drive projects within a retail environment. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of retail operations, with experience in POS systems and GK platforms considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple workstreams within a retail environment
- Partner closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across business, IT, and vendor teams
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; proactively implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution, particularly for retail and POS-related initiatives
- Provide regular status updates, executive reporting, and presentations to senior leadership
- Manage third-party vendors and ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
- Support change management efforts, including communication and adoption strategies
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience, with a strong focus in retail environments (mandatory)
- Proven experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience managing Point of Sale (POS) systems (preferred)
- Strong understanding of retail operations, customer journeys, and store systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GK Software / GK POS platforms (bonus)
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Background in digital transformation or retail technology implementations
