About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in retail operations, particularly around POS systems and store-related processes. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, the ability to document processes effectively, and a focus on the "why" behind the "what" to provide actionable business insights. The ideal candidate will also bring experience with GK or NCR platforms, which is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Analysis: Evaluate and document current business processes related to POS and store operations.
  • Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation, including workflows, business cases, and process improvement proposals.
  • Retail Technology Expertise: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and enhance retail systems, focusing on POS solutions and store-level operations.
  • Business Case Development: Develop and present business cases for proposed solutions, including financial analysis and ROI assessments.
  • Insight Generation: Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, emphasizing the “why” behind operational challenges and potential solutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and finance, to align on objectives and deliverables.
  • Travel: Visit client sites as needed (up to one week per month) to gather insights and collaborate directly with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably in a retail or store operations context.
  • Demonstrated expertise in POS and operational workflows.
  • Experience with GK or NCR platforms is preferred.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills tailored to retail technology.
  • Financial acumen to evaluate business cases, including cost-benefit and ROI analysis.
  • Proven ability to connect business needs with technical solutions and articulate the "why" behind decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel for client visits (one week per month).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in retail tech writing and developing user-friendly materials for technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with key retail operational metrics and the financial drivers of store performance.
