Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Junior Project Manager to support a large-scale Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware installation project, a critical initiative aligned with our company’s growth strategy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in complex project environments while learning from experienced PM leaders and collaborating across internal teams and external partners.

The Junior Project Manager will play a key supporting role throughout the project lifecycle by coordinating tasks, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication. Some experience in convenience store (C-Store) or retail environments is strongly preferred, as this will help in understanding the pace, expectations, and operational complexity of retail rollouts.

This position is ideal for someone early in their project management career who is eager to grow within a fast-paced technology and retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior project managers in executing high-impact POS hardware installation projects by coordinating schedules, tracking tasks, and maintaining project documentation

  • Participate in project planning activities including scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication

  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, engineering, operations) to align on project deliverables and logistics

  • Liaise with external vendors and clients to schedule site visits, hardware installations, and issue resolution

  • Maintain accurate project tracking documentation including status reports, project plans, risks, and action items

  • Monitor hardware delivery milestones and escalate issues to senior leadership when needed

  • Assist in preparing presentation decks and reports for leadership or client updates

  • Help coordinate internal team meetings, vendor calls, and stakeholder updates

  • Support issue tracking and follow-up through tools such as Jira, Asana, or Excel

  • Learn and utilize ERP and project tracking systems effectively with support and guidance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, IT, engineering, or a related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or project support roles (internships count)

  • Some experience in retail or convenience store (C-Store) environments is strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with POS systems or technology rollouts is a plus

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with project management tools is a bonus (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse teams

  • Team player mindset with a willingness to take direction and grow professionally

  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and learn from experienced team members

Nice to Have

  • Experience or interest in POS systems, retail store operations, or hardware deployment

  • Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems

  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile-related coursework or certifications (or willingness to pursue)
